<241019> Jeremiah 10:19 (a)The prophet felt that the sorrows he was undergoing because he was true to God were making a wound in his life. He was hurt deeply by the words of the people. (See also <241518>Jeremiah 15:18; 30:12; <330101> Micah 1:9; <340319>Nahum 3:19.)
WRAP — <232820> Isaiah 28:20 (b) We may understand from this that the unrighteousness of men, their pride and their self-sufficiency, are not adequate to satisfy even their own hearts, much less the demands of God.
<330703> Micah 7:3 (b) Here we see the care with which wicked men seek to cover up their evil actions, and to prevent the public from seeing what they are doing.
WRESTLE — <490612> Ephesians 6:12 (a) Here we see the exercise of soul in a child of God as he opposes the powers of darkness. Frequently it is difficult for the Christian when in prayer to get through the multitude of hindrances until he feels he is in the presence of God.
WRINKLE — <490527> Ephesians 5:27 (a) This word indicates any lack in the believer's life which would make his life rough, unpleasant or unattractive in the sight of God, or in the sight of the saints. The spots in his life are removed by washing, and the wrinkles are removed by the hot iron of circumstances sent from God.
